Grove Square Galleries is a London-based contemporary art gallery and advisory service representing an international line-up of emerging and established artists. Merging digital innovation and physical exhibitions, the gallery’s Fitzrovia space offers a year-round programme of dynamic talks and events which run in tandem with an artist-led exhibition programme celebrating contemporary art practice worldwide. At the core of the gallery is the belief that art and culture is a fundamental part of our world, and Grove Square Galleries is passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise to champion their exciting roster of artists.
Grove Square Galleries’ latest show is The Whispering Tongues (24 June – 6 August 2021), a solo exhibition by Zimbabwean artist Marc Standing. Created during his return to Africa in early 2021, this new series of mixed media paintings marks a homecoming for the artist, celebrating and reconnecting with the heritage and culture of his native continent. Through his uniquely abstract fusion of texture, layer and colour, Standing’s latest body of work is enriched by the magic and mythology of his motherland and illuminated by recurring themes of identity, self-discovery and personal expression.
